Ahead of the June 12th release of his new album, Usher has released snippets of each track from the project. The 18-track disc is an eclectic blend of R&B and pop, featuring guest spots from Pharrell, Luke Steele, Rick Ross, and ASAP Rocky.
Earlier this week, it was announced that Usher has teamed up with American Express, VEVO and YouTube to live stream his concert in London (June 11) as part of the “Unstaged” concert series. “I am excited to introduce my new album LOOKING 4 MYSELF with a worldwide performance in such an innovative way,” said Usher.

There’s nothing more exciting than discovering new music and sharing it with the world. Yesterday, I randomly stumbled across Jade Novah’s mixtape, Shades of Jade, and have literally had it on repeat ever since.
The singer-songwriter, who has penned tracks for Mya and Melanie Fiona (“Watch Me Work”), dropped her eclectic mixtape earlier this week.
The 14-track freebie features covers of Adele’s “Someone Like You” and “Set Fire to the Rain,” Beyoncè’s “Countdown” and Bruno Mars’ “It Will Rain,” and mash-ups of Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” and Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” and Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” and Jessie J’s “Domino.” It also features two original songs, “Sticks & Stones” and “Maniac.”
The covers and mash-ups work so well because of the revamped arrangements and vocal ability of the Cleveland, Ohio native, born Lindsay Fields. Unlike many artists who cover well-known material, she flipped the tracks to make them sound as if they were written specifically for her.

Dawn Richard’s music video for “Bombs” has surpassed 300,000 views on YouTube. To mark the occasion, she released “Wild N’ Young,” a bonus track from her Armor On EP, today.
#wildnyoung was up against “Change” on the EP Armor On,” she tweeted. “I loved both songs. But chose ‘Change.'”
With its swirling synths and drum-led beat, “Wild N’ Young” is the bridge between “Heaven” and “Faith.” Once again, Dawn proves why she’s at the forefront of new age R&B.

If the headline makes you uncomfortable, imagine my initial reaction after watching the video. Brian McKnight’s career was temporarily taken off life support after he posted a video on YouTube.
