Tiffany Evans tries her hand at Beyoncé’s  “1+1” on a new cover version released by the 18-year-old singer. The “Promise Ring” songstress, formerly managed by Mathew Knowles, also recently covered Bey’s “Speechless“.  Listen to “1+1” by Tiffany Evans below.

New Music: Alicia Keys featuring Eve – “Speechless”

A new baby and husband has Alicia Keys left “Speechless“.  The Grammy-winning musician sings about her two-and-a-half-month-old son with Swizz Beatz, Egypt Daoud Dean, on the Eve-assisted “Speechless“.

“Speechless is alittle freestyle treat 4 the holidays.It’s not a new album, not a single its something special 4 U!” tweeted Alicia about the track, which samples Kanye West’s “Devil in a New Dress.”

Ciara – “Basic Instinct” (Album Snippets)

Sidebar: Before even listening to the snippets I began to cringe. It still bewilders me that Tricky Stewart and The-Dream are the sole producers for the album. Nothing against the two, as producers, however their work producing albums in their entirety leave a lot to be desired – hence Mariah Carey’s last chart catastrophe Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, and Ciara’s Fantasy Ride.  I’ll reserve my opinion on Ciara’s Basic Instinct until it’s released in full on December 14th.

Ciara released the video for her latest single, “Speechless,” today. Lifted as the next single from her fourth album, Basic Instinct, “Speechless” thus far as reached a peak of #76 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.  Check out the music video after the jump.

Ciara To Preform At 2010 MTV Video Music Awards

Finally some good news about Ciara!  The R&B singer will perform at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards next Sunday. With the impending release of  her oft-delayed fourth studio album, Basic Instinct, this will be much needed promo. She now joins the already announced list of performers including Eminem, Justin Beiber, Drake, Pink and Linkin Park. Ciara broke the news of her performance via Twitter earlier today.

Rant: While I’m not the biggest Ciara fan, I appreciate her dancing ability and understand her “vocals” are more of an acquired taste than something to fall in love with at first listen. Alas, with the announced list of performers being drier than Betty White’s snatch circa 2000, her addition to the show is a welcomed surprise.

After the falling off with “Fantasy Ride“, Ciara is back at it.

Her still-untitled fourth album is set to hit stores later this year and here’s a new track possibly from the recording sessions.

“Speechless” featuring The Dream is enjoyable and a step in the right direction. Hopefully, Ciara is on her way back to the top.
