Brandy Feat. Chris Brown – ‘Put It Down’ [Music Video Teaser]


 

Welcome to the 90s…again! Brandy works her signature braids and Chris Brown rocks a jumper (overalls) in a newly-released teaser for the Hype Williams-directed video for “Put It Down,” the first single from Brandy’s upcoming sixth album Two Eleven, due October 2.

Despite the initial non-existent  promo for the single, “Put It Down” slowly gaining steam on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts. After nine weeks on the chart, the Bangledesh-produced cut reached a new peak of No. 30 last week, becoming her 16th top 30 single.

The full video is expected to premiere later this month.

NEW MUSIC: Jake&Papa – ‘Summertime Fine’


Brother duo Jake&Papa, formerly of R&B group Brutha (best known from BET’s “Brother to Brutha”), cater to the ladies on “Summertime Fine,” the first single from their new mixtape “Westernplayalisticamaromuzic,” available August 21.

“With Summertime Fine we wanted to capture the feeling we get during one of these California summertime days when all the ladies are out – vintage Levis cut offs or them sundresses – that just accentuate the female body so nicely,” they said. “The song is about having fun and giving you these fine Cali summer high points from a player’s point of view.”

NEW MUSIC: Aaliyah featuring Drake – ‘Enough Said’


Drake’s dream of collaborating with the late Aaliyah have come true. The Toronto MC dropped a new track, “Enough Said,” produced by his go-to producer Noah “40” Shebib, tonight.

No word on where the understated record will live but rumors have been swirling that Drake will serve as the executive producer of a new posthumous album from the “One In a Million” singer, who died in a plane crash in 2001.

Mariah Carey makes her official return with “Triumphant (Get ‘Em)” featuring Rick Ross and Meek Mill.

New Music: Melanie Amaro – ‘Don’t Fail Me Now’


After seizing the first U.S. X Factor crown last December, Melanie Amaro finally released her debut single, “Don’t Fail Me Now,” on Wednesday (August 1).

“I’ve walked the longest road so don’t fail me now, feet don’t fail me now, I’ve never got this close so don’t fail me now,” she sings over the uptempo dance beat, produced by Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins and penned by Livvi Franc.

NEW VIDEO: Keyshia Cole ft. Lil Wayne – ‘Enough of No Love’


Expressing heartbreak as only she can, Keyshia Cole goes hard for the ladies in the video for “Enough of No Love,” the first single from her upcoming album Woman to Woman.

The Oakland-born singer goes through the motions in a padded room and busts out some choreography, wearing a bedazzled bandanna, while her co-star Lil Wayne spits his verse on top of a piano.

First Listen: Mariah Carey feat. Rick Ross & Meek Mill – ‘Triumphant (Get ‘Em)’ [Snippet]


Our first taste of Mariah Carey’s new single “Triumphant (Get ‘Em),” featuring Rick Ross and Meek Mill, comes via a snippet released on Amazon.  The Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox produced track premieres tomorrow (August 2).

“I wrote TRIUMPHANT when I was going through a difficult time & it helped me get through it,” Mariah  tweeted last month when announcing the single. “When u hear it, pay attention 2 the lyrics #WIN.”
