Box Office Report: ‘Ice Age: Continental Drift’ Debuts at No. 1 with $46 Million

The fourth installment in the Ice Age franchise, Ice Age: Continental Drift, easily took the box office with $46 million over the weekend. The film earned an additional $95.3 million overseas. 

Ray Romano, Queen Latifah, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary, Nicki Minaj, KeKe Palmer, Drake, Wanda Sykes and Seann William Scott lend their voices to the animated feature.

Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone’s The Amazing Spider-Man moves to No. 2, earning $35 million in its second weekend. The superhero reboot has earned $200.9 million domestically since its July 3rd release.

Mark Wahlberg’s Ted rounds out the top three with $22.1 million, while Disney/Pixar’s Brave fell to fourth place with $10.7 million.

Nicki Minaj Joins Cast of ‘Ice Age’

Onika continues to build her brand!

Nicki Minaj is taking her talents to the big screen. Nicki will lend her voice to 20th Century Fox’s Ice Age: Continental Drift. According to Variety, Minaj has been added to the 3D animated flick’s all-star cast, which includes her Young Money cohort Drake, Jennifer Lopez, Queen Latifah, Ray Ramano, Wanda Sykes, Keke Palmer, and more.

The fourth installment in the Ice Age series hits theaters July 13, 2012.

J. Lo & Drake Join Cast of ‘Ice Age’

Jennifer Lopez and Drake are headed to the big screen.  The stars have joined the cast of 20th Century Fox’s Ice Age: Continental Drift, joining a cast that includes Keke Palmer, Jeremy Renner, Aziz Ansari, and Wanda Sykes in the fourth installment of the franchise.

Ice Age: Continental Drift hits theaters July 13, 2012 with Queen Latifah, Ray Romano, Denis Leary, and more reprising their roles from previous films. According to, J.Lo will play Shira, a sabre toothed who catches another tiger’s eye, while Drake will voice a character named Ethan.
