After seizing the first U.S. X Factor crown last December, Melanie Amaro finally released her debut single, “Don’t Fail Me Now,” on Wednesday (August 1).
“I’ve walked the longest road so don’t fail me now, feet don’t fail me now, I’ve never got this close so don’t fail me now,” she sings over the uptempo dance beat, produced by Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins and penned by Livvi Franc.
Carrie Underwood scores her third No.1 album as her fourth set, Blown Away, debuts atop the Billboard 200 with 267,000 sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
As One Direction and The Wanted lead the boy band resurgence, J.C. Chasez says don’t expect an ‘NSYNC reunion.
“It’s just not in the cards,” he says. “I’m sure that everybody in my group has been asked at one time or another — I know I get asked, I know the other guys get asked — but we’re happy with what it was and we’re happy to move on.”
“We really feel like if you’re going to do something like that, it has to be for all the right reasons,” explained the America’s Next Best Dance Crew judge. “Everybody says, ‘Oh you’ll make a ton of money, you’ll get a ton of people to come,’ but that’s not the reason we did what we did in the first place. We did what we did because we believed we had something to offer the entertainment world that was essentially fresh, and until we feel that way again, it’s not gonna happen.”
‘NSYNC was one of the acts at the forefront of teen pop revolution of the late 90s. The group released three albums from 1998-2001, including their diamond-certified debut and sophomore albums, and have sold over 28 million albums in the U.S. alone.

In the midst of career resurgences, Jennifer Lopez and Enrique Iglesias have announced a co-headlining summer tour. The initial 16 dates for the North American trek were announced on Monday, with more dates expected to follow. With Latin urban duo Wisin Y Yandel as opening acts, the tour kicks off June 14 in Montreal and makes stops in Toronto, Chicago, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Miami.
Enrique Iglesias’ career reached new heights over the last two years, thanks to the success of his radio hits “I Like” featuring Pitbull and “Tonight (I’m Lovin’ You)” featuring Ludacris. Both tracks reached the top five on Billboard’s Hot 100 and have sold a total of 5 million downloads. The Latin superstar was supposed to co-headline a tour with Britney Spears last summer, but it failed to materialize.
“I’m so excited to be spending this summer out on the road. There is no better feeling than being out on stage in front of all my fans,” says Iglesias in a statement.
While her music career is hot and cold, landing a judging gig on American Idol has kept Jennifer Lopez in the limelight. Her last musical effort, 2010’s Love?, barely moved 320, 000 copies, but did spawn the smash “On the Floor” featuring Pitbull, which has sold over 3 million digital downloads in the U.S. alone. The singer-actress recently teamed with the rapper again for “Dance Again,” a tracked from her upcoming greatest hits release.

When I first watched this video, I thought, ‘Keri Hilson has lost her gahtdamn mind,’ then I realized its just her attempt to pull back the layers and become more personable.
At any rate, Keri Lynn sat down with FUSE for an intimate interview, where the off-beat convo tip-toed into the “Oh, this b!tch is crazy” zone. The “Pretty Girl Rock” singer discussed being fired from her job at a restaurant, the last lie she told, the body part she’s most proud of, and the worst break-up she’s had, which she revealed is the inspiration behind her third album.
The next line of questioning bought tears to Keri’s eyes, as she revealed her least favorite dreams. “I have these recurring dreams about the end of the world and they’re very, very vivid and very realistic,” she said. “There’s always the sky going black and you’re watching it happen. Another dream it was like a flood. Another dream is there were so many people killing people in the streets, women and children included. … Another time it was UFOs and they were fighting above us and we just knew that this means it’s over.”
Watch the interview below.
Following the release of her gold-certified debut, which earned her two Grammy nominations, the possibilities seemed endless for Keri Hilson. Though it had some gems (“Beautiful Mistake,” “All the Boys“), the material on No Boys Allowed, her sophomore album, moved the singer-songwriter to the back of the line.
Taking time to recharge her physical and creative batteries, Keri says she begun working on her next project. In a recent interview with AOL’s The Boombox, Keri shed some light on where she’s headed creativity with her junior set.
With Danja digging into the crates used for Britney Spears’ Blackout, JoJo unleashes her sexy on the aptly titled “Sexy To Me.” The new track is a promo single from her upcoming third album Jumping Trains, due later this year. Unlike anything we’ve heard from her before, “Sexy To Me” is exactly the type of smash the 21-year-old singer needed to open people’s eyes to her talent. Loving this record!
