We’ve heard the track, now watch them perform it live.
Brandy & Monica stopped by The Tonight Show with Jay Leno to perform their duet, “It All Belongs to Me,” last night (Feb. 16). For their first live performance of the song, the ladies showcased their powerful pipes with the help of a live band and three background singers. Kicking things off, Brandy gave the world as taste of her lower vocal register before Monica drove the point home by hitting pitch-perfect note at the end.
Written and produced by Rico Love, “It All Belongs to Me” has garnered mixed reactions from fans. Prior to the song’s release, it was dubbed as a sequel to their Grammy-winning single, “The Boy is Mine,” which catapulted both ladies into superstardom. Soon after the song premiered online, many were left disappointed by the songwriting, but praised the vocals and production.
The Chris Robinson-directed music video was filmed earlier this week, and is expected in the coming weeks.
