NEW MUSIC: Q Parker – “Yes”
Following the success of his solo debut single “Show You How,” former 112 member Q Parker follows up with the sultry banger “Yes.” The talented singer-songwriter displays his killer vocal range on the catchy bedroom tune, produced by The Cornaboyz (Usher, Ciara). “Yes” serves as the second single from his forthcoming solo debut, The MANual, expected later this year.

Beyoncè shares support for Frank Ocean
Beyoncè is the latest of Frank Ocean’s peers to show their support for the singer-songwriter, who revealed earlier this week that his first love was a man.
On her website, the “Crazy in Love” singer posted a black-and-white picture of Ocean with a poem of sorts, acknowledging his bravery and courage. “Be fearless / Be honest / Be generous / Be brave / Be poetic / Be open / Be free / Be yourself / Be in love / Be happy / Be inspiration,” she wrote.
Beyoncè shared a similar sentiment last year in an interview with Pridesource.com, showing her admiration for the LGBT community. “If anyone is brave and true to themselves, it’s my gay fans. The amount of confidence and fearlessness it takes to do what maybe is not what your parents expect you to do or what society may think is different – to be brave and be different and to be yourself – is just so beautiful. It’s the most beautiful thing you can be, and it’s what we all want to be at the end of the day. And not worrying about satisfying or becoming what other people think you’re supposed to be, that’s like the ultimate dream – to just be that brave.”

New Music: Rio – “Good Morning Dreamer”
Back in May, I featured Rio as the first artist in WATM’s Breaking & Entering series. Now the Nashville-born singer, songwriter and producer returns with title track from his upcoming Good Morning Dreamer project. Much like “Sex and Sativa,” “Good Morning Dreamer” is catchy enough to get stuck in your head after only a few listens.
“”Good Morning Dreamer” was inspired by southern hip-hop and Jack Daniels. Combining the intimacy of a day in bed and trunk-driven bass line,” Rio says. “GMD is sure to compliment a great time.”

Breaking & Entering: Rio – ‘Sex and Sativa’
Breaking & Entering is a new series that highlights upcoming-and-coming and/or unsigned artists on WATM. I’m not Clive Davis, but I know a hit when I hear it, and I know a star when I see it. So, this new series will give the readers of WATM a chance to hear some new music from those on the rise. If you are an artist with music or a project you’d like featured, simply throw me an email at worldaccordingtomonte@gmail.com. NOTE: Submitting music doesn’t guarantee a post — I have to like what I’m hearing in order to feature it, but you knew that already. Right?
