In 2005 when Ameriie released her sophomore album Touch, it appeared she was on the verge of becoming R&B’s next superstar.  Led by smash single “1 Thing,” the album earned Ameriie two Grammy nominations, her first #1 Billboard single and became her second gold-certified disc, then it all changed. Her last album, In Love & War, debuted and peaked at #46 on Billboard Top 200 and failed to spark interest.  The “1 Thing” singer, who recently wed her manager, Lenny Nicholson, is prepping the release of her new album and shares details of the making Cymatika Vol 1 with Billboard.

Ameriie Gets Married

Ameriie had “1 Thing” on her mind this weekend. The R&B siren married her manager and former Columbia Records label executive Lenny Nicholson on Saturday on Anguilla in the British West Indies.
