After years of contemplating, I decided to move my site and change its name. Not only the name, but its purpose. WorldAccordingtoMonte.com is now WATMONLINE.COM. When I launched worldaccordingtomonte.com in 2009, I had NO idea what I was getting into. All I wanted to do was post few stories and give my opinion, in hopes of getting a few readers and call it day. Back then, I was clueless to the work, time and energy it takes to keep up a blog, especially when you enjoy it.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been obsessed with music. I might not know the day of the week, but I KNOW when Grammys are. Long story short, I took my obsession beyond friends and family and made it public to anyone with access to the Internet, and that’s how worldaccordingtomonte.com was born.
Since my first post about Barbara Streisand keeping Mariah Carey out the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200, worldaccordingtomonte.com has grown beyond my expectations. Knowing that nearly a half million people have, at one time or another, visited the site blows my mind. In the grand scheme of things that’s a small fraction of world’s Internet population, but to me, that’s EVERYTHING!
As World According to Monte becomes WATM ONLINE, I’m confident in knowing that this is only the beginning. I’ve seen what a hard work and dedication can do and I refuse to give up until I reach my goals. Whenever I do decide to take on something, I want to be the best; regardless of how it takes to get there, I’m willing and will work my ass off to get to the next level.
There are hundreds of thousands, maybe millions, of music-related websites, offering music and entertainment news, celebrity gossip, exclusive interviews, etc., but few are actually credible. And that’s what will set WATM ONLINE apart from the run-of-the-mill music blog. I want to give the facts, then give my opinion, even if the facts and my opinion conflict. My hope is to highlight artists, known and unknown, with stories that will spark conversation and become your go-to for the latest about your favorites and the best you never heard.
If you’ve ever clicked on a link, left a comment, scrolled down the homepage, liked on Facebook, retweeted a Tweet, subscribed via email, or have been involved with worldaccordingtomonte.com in any way, I humbly thank you!
I’m excited about the new journey and look forward to all that lies ahead! Head over to WATMONLINE.COM and subscribe to receive posts via email, bookmark the site, and if you’d like, drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org. (The fact that I have personalize email for the new site is the coolest shit, EVER!)
See you there!

The concert, which streams on VEVO today at 4PM EST/1PM PST, is the latest round of promo for the singer before his new album Looking 4 Myself arrives tomorrow.

Beyoncé treats fans with an inside look at her comeback shows at Atlantic City’s Revel Resorts. In the footage, the pop star preps lighting cues, rehearses musical and vocal arrangements, modifies the stage design, and practices choreography for the sold out series of concerts.
“It is exciting. I feel a little nervous. I’m enjoying being a mother so it’s like going back to my old job. It’s a little strange, but it’s important that you don’t lose yourself and still have your own passions. I’m back to business,” the 16-time Grammy Award winner said.
Bey’s four-night stint at Revel begins tomorrow and runs through Memorial Day.
Melanie Fiona takes fans behind-the-scenes of the making of her highly anticipated sophomore album, The MF Life. In the videos, the Grammy-winner talks about the process recording the album and gives insight on her mindset while recording each song. The visuals are a dope way to give fans an idea of a how albums are made and to see the singer in a different light. Arriving March 20, The MF Life features the top 10 hit “4 AM” and guest spots from B.o.B, J. Cole and Nas. Watch part one above and part two below.
Chris Brown wears multiple hats on the set of his music video for “Turn Up The Music,” the lead single from his upcoming fifth studio album, Fortune. Co-directing the video with Godfrey Taberez, Breezy works up a sweat in the heavily-choreographed visual filled with insane lighting, breathtaking dance moves and a techno party feel. With the number of electro-pop/dance tunes in his catalog, is it safe to say Chris Brown has made the transition to becoming a pop artist? Get your first glimpse of “Turn Up The Music” here.
Elle Varner invites J. Cole into her colorful world on the set of her music video for “Only Wanna Give To You,” the Pop & Oak-produced lead single from her upcoming debut Perfectly Imperfect, due this fall on MBK Entertainment/RCA Records. Rap Up comes through with a first glimpse of the Orson Whales-directed video, which premieres on Tuesday, October 4. Check out pictures from the set below.
Queen B continues to tease the unfortunate souls (like me) who didn’t get to see her 4 Intimate Nights concert in NYC with more behind the scenes footage. This time, the clips show the mom-to-be doing what she does best – entertain. The four-night stint at NYC’s Roseland Ballroom, where B performed her latest album 4 in its entirety, sold out in 22 seconds in August. Watch part 4 below.
